Hi Sarah,

What happened 9 month before June 17 anyway? I think you are my 4th friend that has June 17 for a birthday! May this year's version come with cake and candles of celebration of life and success!

Good luck on the move -- I love the concept of pick up basketball and chili nights, perfect signs of community and its importance. I am hopeful that there is something both metaphorical and real in going into the hospital living in one place, coming out living in another. May those new places be everything you, Matt, and the kids want and need.

Kate and I, as always, sending our very best Montana wishes for good health and happiness,

Scott (and Katie)

Dear Sarah,

We will be praying for you on the 17th. Remember, the English won the Battle of Bunker Hill that same day so long ago. I pray that history repeats itself!

God Bless you.

Dear Sarah, thank you for updating us. I will think of you on June 17th (I do every day). I immensely enjoy your posts on Growing Hearths. I find your thoughts, and what I'm beginning to learn about NVC, thrillingly challenging, though I have not (yet) been able to comment in writing. I'm grateful to be able to share in any and all aspects of your experience that you put out here. Praying for a good outcome from the surgery and sending you all my love. Nina

Sarah- I am so glad I got to see you, even for the briefest of moments, when you were in town. I will always be willing to sit with you in the messiness if a long-distance friend will suffice for such a post. The chemo sounds so horrible as I would chose pretty much any state over being nauseated. I do love your NVC work and am glad that is something that drives you, even in the Pit of Despair. I am glad you have compassionate nurses to take care of you. I am honoring you (all the bits) in this space. ❤️
