I wanted those photos to go on forever.

"A tie." Oh my. Hadn't heard that one. Sarah, your clarity, presence and loving vision amazes me. It has amazed me through the easier and lighter moments that have had nothing to to do with cancer; and now, at this time of facing your death, the clarity, presence and loving vision are so very apparent, and will guide the rest of us to face what's next with you.

Dear Sarah. For me you are the clear winner.

Hugs floating your way. 💖

Agree you are the winner because you are doing your life your way. (Not letting cancer treatments have their way with you.)

You are an inspiration. Love

Dear Sarah. You look like someone who loved, and were loved by, life. I wanted to see the pictures of you growing older. Good luck on your next journey. Go well. I hope Auntie Nora pops in

Sarah, I am so deeply feeling for you and your family. I am so grateful to have crossed paths with you so many years ago, sitting in that Red Ants Pants storefront. I was amazed by your strength then, just as I am now. Sending you love.

I will write your children a story of our friendship, Sarah.

My mother took this path 40 years ago, when I was 20, and there was a lot I didn’t really have my head around. I don’t know you, but I know the anguish and love your family is feeling, and I wish you all love and warmth and wisdom and strength in the coming weeks and months. It’s a remarkable part of life, this passing. You will remain in your family’s and friends’ hearts forever. Their lives will reflect your heart every day. This I know.

You’re so right Sarah, cancer kills itself! I have lots of pictures to post and now it is our turn to write. Thank you for all of your pictures and writings over the years. You have been a blessing to many and now may we bless you, Matt and the kids. Love you forever ❣️Paula and Robert

Sarah. This just popped up in my notes today. How brave you are to write this not just for you or your family but for the many who face that horrible word. Writing your name in my prayer book and praying for peace and comfort as you and your family navigate this. And the time you allowed your family to grieve and lament now. I can’t help but think that will be a comfort to them even after.

We’ve never met. Your last post is the first post of yours I’ve read. It came through my feed as a gift. I will sit with it and stay with it. Your words…in addition to your beautiful children and all the lives you’ve touched… your words are another part of your legacy. Thank you. 🙏

Your words and the pictures you chose! Beautiful art. You and your family are beautiful, too. You are journeying well. Thank you for taking us along for the ride.

I so wish you could have stuck around too, Sarah. Dammit. I can't believe you won't see this. I hope it's not painful for anyone else to see this. I loved what Rachel wrote about you in the next post.

"I wish I could stick around." Me too. So much.

I will look for you.

Too many tears to reply right away. How I wish you could stick around. I LOVE the pictures and have SO LOVED all of your posts, your sharing of your journey in such profound and honest ways. You have changed my life - and death. I celebrate you, dear Sarah, and all you have done and are doing to live fully, die fully, and prepare your children for a loss so profound, they'll never truly know the depths of the impact. But they will have all of these memories, and stories, and pictures, and the manual! Sending you so much love and care and blessings for this journey's sacred ending.
